The consensus of those who are most outspoken is that conservatives require compliance with their beliefs. But based on the conservatives with whom I am most familiar, there is a clear understanding that disagreement holds significant importance in a healthy democracy. Unfortunately, the mindset of those who currently hold power is that opinions such as mine are definitively incorrect and potentially dangerous. This is being sold as undeniable truth by the government and media; creating an obstacle that could be deemed too ominous to overcome.
